Scottish actor, singer, author and activist Alan Cumming has received the PETA humanitarian award for his animal advocacy work.

PETA Director Elisa Allen commented 'Alan Cumming's wit, style, and determination have made him a tour de force in animal advocacy. As his legacy of campaigning shows, he's not afraid to turn heads if it means inspiring others to make kind choices'. Previous recipients of the award include Edie Falco, James Cromwell, Anjelica Huston and Alicia Silverstone.
